I Heart Hello Kitty!

I took my niece out yesterday, we had such a fun time! In the afternoon I took her to Target to look for some Hello Kitty stuff and the dollar section had some really cute HK stuff for Christmas! Needless to say she had to have one~or 2~ of everything! A girl after my own heart!

Santa Claus is Comin' to town!

Here is my village! It is so pretty~all lit up! I was so lucky to find one of those animated skating rinks for it at Kohls a couple years ago. I just love it, it has 6 skaters and even has a setting to play Christmas music!

Here is one of favorite ornaments! Guess who???

Santa's all lined up in a row!

This little snow lady was all hand~made!~I got her at a craft show, she is so beautiful!~Even her face is hand painted!!

More Santa's! I love mixing the vintage Santa's in with the primitive, it looks so neat~

This is my ABSOLUTE favorite! I picked him up at a local craft show a couple years ago~ he is magical!

Deck the Halls

~That is Stanley, one of our cute kitties curled up under the tree!
I got this tree a couple years ago, it os one of those twig trees! I still really love it!~

This is one of my favorite ebay purchases of all time!!! I love Cody Foster and I couldn't wait to get one of his putz villages, it is so pink and pretty!

This is one of my favorite little "scenes", I added some pink bottlebrush ornaments from Martha Stewart's Christmas line from K-Mart to my favorite basket. I just love her stuff this year!
This santa is so adorable, we fot him at a flea market near Dayton when we went to the Country Living Fair. I just had to have him! What an adorable face!

When unwrapping all of my decorations this year, I realized I had accidentally strated to collect snowmen it seems! So I thought I would group them all together for more of a "snowy" effect! I like looking at all of these and remembering where I got them!

Snowmen, Snowmen, and more Snowmen!

Over the long weekend we spent some time decorating, one of my favorite parts of the holiday season!!! We put up the tree on Thanksgiving night, which has become a tradition around here. I did some other decorating one Saturday and Sunday. I am really pleased with all of my little holiday vignettes so far and can't wait to finish my favorite green cabinet in the dining room. I think I am going to have to take a visit to a couple antique stores to really finish it off right!!!

Jackson High School Show

Last weekend was the Jackson High School Show, turned out to be a very small show after all. I could hardly believe it, there were only like thirty crafters! I was really surprised at how poorly attended the show was!It was steadily slow which if you have ever done the craft show circuit you know~means poor sales. If there is no hustling and bustling, then people just don't seem to buy as much. Needless to say the highlight of the day was when my brother and sister-in-law brought their kids to visit us!

Christmas Crafts

I was so lucky to have the day off today, I sat in my craft room and crafted my heart out while listening to Christmas music and watching the snow fall!!! My Perfect Day!
I worked really hard and got alot accomplished~ I made 10 Christmas wands and listed them on etsy and I made all of my ornaments for the Flickr Pink Christmas Swap and the Deck the Halls Swap~And~ I made my two remaining "Pay it Forward" gifts~ Look for mail swap partners and Pay-it-Forwardees!!! Don't you just love this time of year???
I will post pics of swaps after my partners receive them- I don't want to ruin the surprise!!!
Have a great weekend!

It's beginning to look...

... a lot like Christmas! Here in NE Ohio it is snowing! I am so excited...and to think that most of our leaves are still on the trees~weird. I have been in a not-so-crafty mood lately. In fact, over the weekend I spent some time just watching movies and relaxing on the couch~not like me at all~ especially this time of year. But now I am getting that crafty itch again and my head is swarming with ideas! I have gathered some supplies and plan on crafting all day tomorrow!!! Saturday is our last craft show of the season at Jackson High School, and both my mom and I are kind of questioning the turn-out because as everyone in OHIO knows~Saturday is the BIG OSU v. Michigan game- and it is almost a law here that you have to watch it. I hope that the wives of all those wing-eating jersey- wearing-husbands come out with their check books! LOL!
This has been one heck of a season- craft show season I mean...I am glad to see it come to an end for this year, I am really looking forward to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, decorating the house, and baking cookies with my mom. I just love this time of year!
This beautiful photo is from Room Service Home, an AMAZING website/catalog with lots of glittered goodies for Christmas and great stuff you'll want for your home!!! Check it out!

Saturday was the Carrollton High School Craft Show, we had so much fun! It was so nice to see Crafting Friends that I haven't seen in way too long! The show had great attendance and we had a great time at our booth! My mom and I cracked up laughing I don't know how many times, the stress of setting up was behind us and we were ready to have some fun! I was so happy to see Cindy of Olde Garge, an AMAZING crafter and Fabulous creative mind had a booth again this year, her painting and collages are truly inspirational! She has such unique and creative ideas, she is a real artist. I just had to have this "junk wreath" made with finds from things she has collected..nothing store bought! I just love that!
Well, another show has passed this Craft Show Season..and I am ready for a weekend of being a craft show attendee rather than a boothee...I hope to travel to Pittsburgh next weekend with Matthew to go to the Handmade Arcade! I am really looking forward to it!

One more show, Saturday November 17, 2007 at Jackson High School, Canton, Ohio. I hope to see you there!

The Blissful Unveiling and Fench Inspired Noel

A lovely invitation to the unveiling of The Blissful.

I have written about The Blissful Home, one of my favorite places in my home town of Canton, Ohio before, but recently, proprietor, Abby Kerr, has really out done herself and put a new spin on her lovely shop and this weekend was the great unveiling. Not only is the shop filled with lots of new items but it also has a new name: The Blissful.
This store is so beautiful! It is filled with "french inspired finds and furnishings" that make my imagination run wild! There is a variety of wonderful little pretty things to sit on a shelves or great pieces that would define a room. Also she has started carrying to-die-for beauty and bath items, and don't forget to check out her one-of-a-kind jewelry! Abby also has chosen some really neat holiday items from Wendy Addison, Bethany Lowe, and a host of other artists that design unique holiday items for that person who is looking for something really special. I hope that you will stop by her store if you are ever in Canton, it is truly a "blissful" place.
